Zangto Pelri Lhakhang
Zangto Pelri Lhakhang is a tall temple near the weekend market in Thimphu. It was built in the 1990s by a local resident. Zangdopelri means the celestial abode of Guru Rinpoche, and temples of this name are built as symbolic palaces of his paradise.
It is a short stop for those visiting the market, and gives a view of how devotion continues to shape the modern town, not only the historic sites.
