VAST
Voluntary Artist's Studio
VAST, the Voluntary Artist’s Studio Thimphu, is a lively place on Chang Lam. It runs drawing and painting classes for young people after school and at weekends, led by volunteer artists.
A gallery on the top floor shows a mixture of traditional and contemporary work. It gives a glimpse of how younger Bhutanese artists approach their culture, and is a good complement to the more formal art school and museums in the capital.
