Tengyeling
Tengyeling Regency Temple
Tengyeling is one of the four regency temples of Lhasa, located behind the Mentsekhang (the Tibetan medicine hospital). From these temples the regents of Tibet were traditionally chosen.
Much of the original complex has gone and only the Gonkhang, or Protector Chapel, at roof level is still active as a place of worship.
It is a minor stop, worth adding only if you have already seen the main sights of Lhasa and want to see something off the usual route.
