Chhoten Lhakhang
Unique temple of Bhutan
Chhoten Lhakhang is a large Bhutanese-style chorten just south of Paro town square. Chortens like this one are built as places of devotion and merit, and local people walk clockwise around them, often spinning prayer wheels as they go.
A small chapel on the upper level holds sacred images. It is a quick stop that is easy to combine with a walk through Paro town.
