Bitekha Dzong
Cultural Gem in Bhutan
Bitekha Dzong stands on the road from Paro towards Haa, close to the river confluence at Chundzom. Like other dzongs in Bhutan, it is a fortified religious and administrative building, though this one is small and seen mostly in passing.
Most visitors admire it from the roadside as part of the drive between the two valleys, with a short stop for photographs of the white walls and the setting above the river. Access to the interior may be limited, so it is worth checking with your guide.
