Shangrila Hotel

Hotel Shangrila is one of the hotels in Lhuentse town in eastern Bhutan. Its a simple guest house, the building is rammed earth and stone, the bamboo-walled toilet is outdoors, and your room may have cardboard walls and bare bulbs for lighting. Restaurant serving Bhutanese meals and a bakery, and a bar serving many brands of beer, whisky, and wine. And close by is the tallest Guru Rinpoche statue in the world, strikingly placed atop Takila hill overlooking Tangmachu village.
