Baiyu

Baiyu, known in Tibetan as Palyul, is a county in the Ganzi area of western Sichuan, near the Yangtze (Drichu) River and the border with Tibet. It is home to Palyul Monastery, one of the six main Nyingma monasteries.

The area is Khampa, with villages of traditional houses on the valley sides. Visits are generally part of longer journeys through Kham.
