Set amid the peaceful landscapes of Punakha Valley, Dhensa Resort offers a restful retreat with a contemporary Bhutanese feel. Its 24 spacious suites are arranged across six separate cottages, creating a sense of privacy and space. Light-wood furnishings and Japandi-inspired design give the interiors a calm, natural character. Each suite has a private balcony and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub beside French windows.
The resort’s restaurant serves home-style Bhutanese, Asian and Western dishes, prepared with local and organic produce. For time to unwind, Kibu Spa offers massages, a sauna, steam room and an outdoor wood-fired hot tub. Guests can also relax in the library or bar, or gather around one of the open-air bonfire areas in the evening.
